Playing Big Horn

Yesterday, I had the privilege to play Big Horn Country Club with my father.  We were invited out by one of the members he knows.  The Mountain course sits up in the Mountains in Palm Desert.  Even though we did not play this course due to overseeding, I did get to drive and see the 9 holes that sit up in the mountains and it was breath taking.  The 15th hole has a 175 foot drop from the tee box down to the fairway and we were told that it is the toughest fairway to hit on the whole course.  The view from the tee box was unbelievable.

The Canyon course (which I played twice yesterday) is a good golf course and was very challenging.  Some of the holes were very difficult to find the fairways and I found myself in the desert part.  I had a great time and would play again in a heartbeat.  I hope I have the opportunity to play the Mountain Course someday – it really looks amazing.
