Black Belt Golf and Healing

Aug 23, 2011   //   by blackbeltgolf   //   Blog, Exercise, Golf, Mental Health, Physical, Wellness  //  No Comments

Today’s blog is about a personal incident that happen to me and how the Black Belt Golf System helped me heal myself and get me back to 100% where it did not affect my golf game. It was not a typical Friday morning for me because I woke up with a knot in the back of my neck. If you’ve ever slept incorrectly you know exactly what this sore neck feels like – and it isn’t fun! In most cases when this happens, people will often do one of two things. They will try to ignore it and go about their day in an ordinary fashion. The problem with this is they might do something strenuous and make it worse. The second thing a person might do is nothing and try to wait it out. The problem with this is that it could take a long time for your body to recoup depending on what kind of shape you are in.

By utilizing parts of the Black Belt Golf System, I was at 100% two days later on Sunday – good thing because I was playing golf on Sunday! First, I had my wife give me an easy

rub down in the upper back and neck area where the muscles were strained. I had her do this twice within 2 hours of waking up. This would be considered the warm up portion of the Black Belt Golf System. Around noon time I went for a light jog to get my muscles warmed up some more. After the jog which was about 2.5 miles, I stretched out my back muscles and my legs.. Then I went to the driving range in the late afternoon to make some very light (50% to 60%) swings. I hit a very small bucket but I wanted to get myself loosened up and get a feeling for swinging the club. If I felt in any way that I was going to hurt the back muscles, I would have swung the club easier. But fortunately my body allowed me to swing the club at that speed and not hurt myself. After my driving range session, I went to the gym and did very light lifting and a lot of stretching of the back muscles. All of these things are taught through the Black Belt Golf System.

By Saturday, I was feeling about 85%, I had a good run in the morning with stretching of the back and leg muscles. I went to the driving range where I was able to make some good swings and swung about 75% to 80%. Sunday Morning rolled around and I was feeling, as stated above, 100%. Even though I felt great, I still did my upper body stretching and got to the course early enough to have a good slow warm up and by the time I was ready to hit my first tee shot of the day, I was ready. The Black Belt Golf System is more than just a workout – it is a way to help you look AND feel better, and you too can use it to help heal your body when necessary so you can play your best game of golf.

By using the Black Belt Golf System to help prepare my body or heal my body to be able to play my round of golf two days later I knew what to do and that was to keep my body warm and moving and at the same time do a lot of stretching so I would prevent my upper body from getting too tense or tightening up again. We believe at Black Belt Golf that adding yards to your drives is great, but what we strive for is keeping you healthy, feeling good, energized, and able to perform at your maximum capability without any pain.
