Martial arts is a very physical sport. All of your muscles are used if done correctly. It is impossible to be at a high level in martial arts and be out of shape if you are keeping up with the workouts—they work and tone every muscle in the body. A person living a sedentary lifestyle might have a more challenging time with this system than a person who is an outstanding athlete.
